Sunset Lodge & Safari’s Guests on a Full Day Safari in the ever-popular Kruger National Park. Below are some photos of an amazing day spent int the Kruger National Park on Safari with our guests from Sunset Lodge and Safaris.

There is always great excitement just before departing to the Orpen Gate, Kruger National Park. On each Kruger Day Trip you might find people who have never been to the Kruger National Park and do not know what to expect. That is where your guide comes in, explaining that it is better not to expect too much because of the size of Kruger, you do not want to be disappointed at the end of the day BUT your guide knows where to look for the animals and what signs might give clues of the animals found in any given area.

With over 2 million hectares in which to roam it is indeed a pleasure and honour to find animals that people will travel many 1000’s of kilometers to see. Lions are regarded as Apex Predators, so it is not surprising to find them on most people’s bucket lists.

The best way to experience the Kruger is in an Open Safari Vehicle there is very obstruction to fully view the animals. The best videos and photos are taken on these Day trips to the Kruger Park, this brown spotted Hyena resting allowed is a good example of the benefit of being in the Open Safari Vehicle which is higher than your average vehicle.

Big 5 sightings are on the menu every time we enter the Park but we also focus on smaller creatures and plants including beautiful trees. Breeding herds of Elephants are often found and admired especially when there are Baby Elephants like in this photo.

Say what? This Chacma Baboon staring at something is beautifully captured because the Open Vehicle allows unobstructed views of the animals. The guides are trained to park the vehicle in such a manner that most people will get a good view of the animal at the many different sightings you will experience.
